Project Description: Esparto Family Housing is the construction of 40 affordable/family housing apartments in the Esparto community of Yolo County. The project consists of(4) wood frame unit buildings and a community building totaling 45,422 square feet. Work includes a new parking lot, play area, landscaping and offsite improvements.

Project Requirements: We are actively soliciting bids from all qualified subcontractors, suppliers and truckers including MBE/WBE/SBE and DVBE firms.

This is a prevailing wage project and requires compliance with Davis-Bacon wages. Wage rate determination will be based on the start of construction date, not the dvertisement date. There is a chance that final funding on the project will also require State Prevailing Wages. If funding requires the higher of Davis Bacon or State Prevailing Wages to be paid, please provide the cost increase, if any, as an alternate add.

Project must meet Enterprise Green Mandatory Measures and appropriate number of optional criteria to achieve compliance. Please verify that your bid meets these requirements.

100% Payment and Performance bonds in the amount of the subcontract price may be required. Bond premium will be reimbursed by BBI up to 1.5%.

Last day for questions is January 26, 2012. Questions will be answered in an Addendum on or before January 31st.

INVITATION FOR BID

The Housing Authority of the City of Sacramento is soliciting sealed bids for Invitation for Bid (IFB) No. 2012004-LGst for Demolition of one (1) single family residence at 4137 Rio Linda Boulevard, Sacramento, CA 95838. Possible subcontracting trades are Asbestos Removal; Building Moving/Demolition; and Lead Removal. The estimated bonding range is between $25,000 and $30,000.

All interested licensed “B” General Building and/or “C-21” Building Moving/Demolition Contractors should plan to attend the Pre-Bid Conference scheduled for January 31, 2012 at 9:00 a.m., at 801 12th Street, 2nd Floor, Sacramento, California with a site visit following the Pre-Bid Conference. The site visit will only be conducted immediately following the Pre-Bid Conference. All contractors are urged to attend the Pre-Bid Conferences including the site inspection. Prime contractors are encouraged to bring any subcontractors interested in visiting the site to the Pre-Bid Conference and site visit. Although attendance is not mandatory, contractors will be required to verify that they are aware of the existing site conditions.

This contract is subject to Minority and Women Owned Business Enterprise standards. All bidders will be required to furnish and pay for a satisfactory Bid Bond in the amount of not less than 10% of the total bid price. The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for a satisfactory Performance Bond and Payment Bond in the amount of not less than 100% of the contract price. Pursuant to the California Public Contract Code Section 22300 the Contractor may request that the Agency substitute a security in the amount of the performance retention.
